Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) is a leader in the area of construction machinery, and has manufacturing facilities in Europe, the United States and Asia. Hitachi Construction Machinery Asia and Pacific Pte. Ltd. (HMAP) was established in Singapore in 1984. HMAP is the regional machines and spare parts distribution center for Hitachi construction and mining excavators and other product lines such as John Deere construction and forestry equipments and Bell articulated dump trucks in the Asia Pacific region. HCM's main product line is hydraulic excavators, with the company manufacturing many models, from medium-sized and mini excavators all the way up to 780-ton ultra-large excavators. HCM also markets wheel loaders, off-road dump trucks and other products made by group companies or in partnership with major manufacturers. Major current activities include distributing equipment and spare parts to the region providing training for territory dealers and end-users, and coordinating the financial and administration portfolios for its operations in the region and beyond. Active in the evolution of machinery and its synergy between 'humans' and 'business' that combines to create rich living spaces, that are more comfortable, highly developed and efficient, HCM believes this view defines the rationale for their existence as well as their identity in society.
